Vineyards

All of the fruit used by the wineries known as The Sanger Family of Wines is grown in the Santa Ynez Valley, on California’s Central Coast. The gently rolling hills are close enough to the ocean to benefit from the cool night breezes, but the vineyards are close to the nearby mountains that heat can build up over the course of the day. This temperature swing (as much as 30˚ in a 24-hour period) provides perfect conditions - long and slow -  for ripening of the grape varieties we use.
